The challenge.

Candidates faced long forms when sharing their details and job expectations. Growing mobile traffic made it essential to collect that information efficiently on a small screen.

The key decision.

We questioned the existing process with business and IT stakeholders, then used prototypes and testing to refine the application journey and mobile interface.

The rejected option & why.

Carrying the existing process onto a smaller screen without questioning it would leave the same usability problems. The work examined the process itself alongside its presentation.

The outcome.

Research, prototyping and testing informed a more usable and inviting design, which was handed over to the development team.

The final verdict.

The project balanced the information Randstad needed with the effort required from candidates. Challenging requirements and testing prototypes helped shape the mobile experience before development handoff.
